Comment: (24.118.252.52) I was always intrigued by this residence. Does anyone know it's history?

Comment: (24.245.69.74) Strong House on the SE cover of Humboldt and George. Being restored by the current owners.

Comment: (216.17.47.250) This property was purchased by stone cutter Adam Rau in 1867. In 1884 Rau Began constructing this limestone house and Barn, which was completed in 1886. In 1888 he sold the property to Ossian Strong for $8,000.

Comment: (65.57.23.63) The style is most likely French Second Empire, judging from the asymmetrical facade and the time it was built. any comments? does any one know for sure?

Comment: I never heard it was haunted. My grade school was right next door and the library across the street. They used to have live nativity scenes with real animals. Way cool

Comment: I walked by this house every day
