South Summit Avenue: Dale to St. Albans

The Waldorf

The Waldorf

672 - 676 Summit Avenue
Built: 1900
Style: Colonial Revival

The owner of this building was architect Herman Kretz, who designed and owned number of apartment buildings in the Historic Hill area and else where in the city. Kretz lived at 768 Summit Avenue in 1901. The building was constructed for $54,000. The building has an unusual surface treatment, with alternating bands of smoothly dressed and rockfaced red sandstone.

Comment: (12.75.167.152) maintained to perfection but I would rather see an iron fence instead of chain link

Current rating: 2 : Excellent
