South Summit Avenue: Dale to St. Albans

650 Summit Avenue
Built: 1892
Style: Colonial Revival

The original owner of this house was General Christopher C. Andrews, a lawyer. Andrews apparently never lived in this house. Instead he lived at 833 Goodrich from at least 1892-1900. He also owned 656 Summit Avenue next door. The house was built for an estimated $8,000 and was designed by architect C.H. Johnston, Sr. which was one of the most modest of his designs on Summit Avenue.

Comment: The color's a little loud, but I've always liked the styling on this home.
