Greve Oppenheim was the youngest son of Ansel Oppenheim, prominet lawyer, real estate investor and finanacier who lived in both St. Paul and New York City. In 1911 or 1912 Greve Oppenheim married Lillian King of Minneapolis. Greve worked as a real estate investor. The house, designed by architects Franklin Ellerbe and Olin Round was built for an estimated $11,000.
