The house replaced the Daniel R. Noyes House which was built on this lot in 1884 and demolished in 1924. the house was constructed for an estimated $125,000 Egil Boeckmann was a prominent local physician and Rachel Hill Boeckmann was the daughter of railroad magnate James J. Hill.
